To operate our WhatsApp Business account, we use a mobile device whose address book contains exclusively the WhatsApp contact details of users who have also contacted us via WhatsApp.

This ensures that every person whose WhatsApp contact details are stored in our address book has already consented to the transfer of their WhatsApp telephone number from the address books of their chat contacts in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR when first using the app on their device by accepting the WhatsApp Terms of Use. This excludes the transfer of data of users who do not use WhatsApp and/or have not contacted us via WhatsApp.

For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by WhatsApp, as well as your related rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to WhatsApp's privacy information: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/?eea=1#privacy-policy

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that protects the data of our website visitors and prohibits disclosure to third parties.

As part of the above-mentioned processing operations, data may be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

Subject to your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, the provider also carries out statistical performance analysis of newsletter campaigns using web beacons or tracking pixels in the emails sent, which can measure open rates and specific interactions with the newsletter content. Device information (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system) is also collected and evaluated, but is not combined with other data sets.
You can withdraw your consent to newsletter tracking at any time with effect for the future.

8.4 Use of Payment Service Providers (Payment Services)

  • Google Pay

If you choose the “Google Pay” payment method of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), payment processing takes place via the “Google Pay” application on your mobile device running at least Android 4.4 (“KitKat”) and equipped with an NFC function by charging a payment card stored in Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g. PayPal). To authorize a payment via Google Pay in excess of €25, your mobile device must first be unlocked using the verification method configured on it (such as facial recognition, password, fingerprint or pattern).

For the purpose of payment processing, the information provided by you during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is transmitted to Google. Google then transmits the payment information stored in Google Pay to the originating website in the form of a one-time transaction number, which is used to verify that payment has been made. This transaction number contains no information about the actual payment details of the payment methods stored in Google Pay, but is created and transmitted as a one-time numerical token. In all transactions via Google Pay, Google acts solely as an intermediary for processing the payment. The transaction is carried out exclusively between the user and the originating website by charging the payment method stored in Google Pay.

If personal data is processed as part of the transfers described, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Google reserves the right to collect, store and evaluate certain transaction-specific information for each transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the date, time and amount of the transaction, merchant location and description, a description of the goods or services purchased provided by the merchant, photos that you have attached to the transaction, the name and email address of the seller and buyer or sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description of the reason for the transaction and, where applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.

According to Google, this processing is carried out exclusively in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interest in proper accounting, verification of transaction data and optimization and maintenance of the Google Pay service.

Google also reserves the right to combine the processed transaction data with other information collected and stored by Google when using other Google services.

In order to safeguard our legitimate interest in determining the creditworthiness of our customers, this data is forwarded by us to the provider in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR for the purpose of a credit assessment. On the basis of the personal data you provide and other data (such as shopping cart, invoice amount, order history, payment history), the provider checks whether the payment option you have selected can be granted with regard to payment and/or default risks.

Among other things, but not exclusively, address data is included in the calculation of the score values.

You can object to this processing of your data at any time by notifying us or the provider. However, the provider may continue to be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – “Pay Later” via PayPal, we pass on your payment data as part of the payment processing to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter “PayPal”). The transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR and only to the extent necessary for payment processing.

For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your creditworthiness. PayPal uses the result of the credit assessment regarding the statistical probability of payment default for the purpose of deciding whether to provide the respective payment method. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). If score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. Among other things, but not exclusively, address data is included in the calculation of the score values. You can object to this processing at any time by notifying PayPal. 9) Web Analytics Services

Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), which enables an analysis of your use of our website.

By default, when visiting the website, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that are stored as small text elements on your device and collect certain information. The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which is shortened by Google by the last digits in order to exclude direct personal identification.

The information is transmitted to Google servers and processed there. Transfers to Google LLC, based in the USA, are also possible.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities for us and provide further services related to website use and Internet use. The shortened IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. The data collected as part of the use of Google Analytics 4 is stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies on the device used, only takes place if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your visit to the website. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please deactivate this service via the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google that ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information on Google Analytics 4 can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/, https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Demographic Characteristics

Google Analytics 4 uses the special “demographic characteristics” function and can use it to generate statistics that provide information about the age, gender and interests of website visitors. This is done by analyzing advertising and information from third parties. This makes it possible to identify target groups for marketing activities. However, the data collected cannot be assigned to a specific person and is deleted after being stored for a period of two months.

Google Signals

As an extension to Google Analytics 4, Google Signals may be used on this website to create cross-device reports. If you have enabled personalized advertising and linked your devices to your Google account, Google may, subject to your consent to the use of Google Analytics in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, analyze your usage behavior across devices and create database models, including cross-device conversions. We do not receive any personal data from Google, but only statistics. If you wish to stop cross-device analysis, you can deactivate the “Personalized advertising” function in your Google account settings. To do so, follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/My-Ad-Center-Help/answer/12155764?hl=de
Further information about Google Signals can be found at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=de

User IDs

As an extension to Google Analytics 4, the “User IDs” function may be used on this website. If you have consented to the use of Google Analytics 4 in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, have created an account on this website and log in to this account on different devices, your activities, including conversions, may be analyzed across devices.

Collection of User-Provided Data

In order to improve the analysis results for users whose contact details we have received as part of business or business-like relationships, we use the “Collection of user-provided data” function.
Subject to your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, as part of this function we transmit one or more files containing customer data aggregated in relation to you (in particular email address and telephone number) electronically to Google. Google does not receive access to the data in clear text, but automatically encrypts the information in the customer files during the transmission process using a special algorithm. The encrypted information can then only be used by Google to assign it to existing Google accounts that the persons concerned have created.
The processing serves to refine measurement data, improve cross-device user tracking and enable the integration of analysis results into ad personalization and conversion tracking functions of Google Ads.
You can withdraw your consent to us at any time with effect for the future. Further information on Google's data protection measures regarding the transfer of customer data can be found here: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6334160?hl=de&ref_topic=10550182

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European level of data protection.

10) Retargeting/Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

10.1 Meta Pixel with Advanced Matching

Within our online offering, we use the “Meta Pixel” service of the following provider in advanced matching mode: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”)

If a user clicks on an advertisement placed by us on Facebook or Instagram, the URL of our linked page is extended by a parameter with the help of “Meta Pixel”. This URL parameter is then entered into the user's browser after the redirection by a cookie set by the linked page itself. In addition, this cookie collects specific customer data such as the email address that we collect on our website linked to the Facebook or Instagram advertisement during processes such as purchases, account registrations or registrations (advanced matching). The cookie is then read and enables the transmission of the data, including the specific customer data, to Meta.

We use “Meta Pixel” with advanced matching to make our advertisements (so-called “Ads”) on Facebook and/or Instagram more effective and to ensure that they correspond to the interests of users or have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Meta (so-called “Custom Audiences”).

In addition, we analyze the effectiveness of our advertisements by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an advertisement (conversion). Compared with the standard version of “Meta Pixel”, the advanced matching function helps us to better measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns by recording more attributed conversions.

All transmitted data is stored and processed by Meta, so that it can be assigned to the respective user profile and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Meta's data usage policies (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data may enable Meta and its partners to display advertisements on and outside Facebook.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for reading information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

The information generated by Meta is generally transmitted to and stored on a Meta server; in this context, data may also be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European level of data protection.

10.2 TikTok Pixel

This website uses the conversion tracking technology of the following provider: TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland

If you have accessed our website from an advertisement on the provider's domain, the success of the advertisement can be tracked using cookies and/or comparable technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, pings or HTTP requests).

For this purpose, certain device and browser information, including your IP address where applicable, is read out via the tracking technology in order to record and evaluate user actions predefined by us (e.g. completed transactions, leads, searches on the website, views of product pages). This enables the creation of statistics about user behavior on our website following redirection from an advertisement, which serve to optimize our offering.

11) Website Functionalities

11.1 Facebook Plugins

Plugins of the social network of the following provider are used on our website: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland

These plugins enable direct interaction with content on the social network.

To increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are initially deactivated and integrated into the page using a so-called “2-click” or “Shariff” solution.

This integration ensures that when a page of our website containing such plugins is accessed, no connection to the provider's servers is established initially.

For handling our accounting, we use the cloud-based accounting software service of the following provider: Haufe-Lexware GmbH & Co. KG, Munzinger Straße 9, 79111 Freiburg, Germany

The provider processes incoming and outgoing invoices and, where applicable, our company's bank transactions in order to automatically record invoices, match them to transactions and create financial accounting in a partially automated process.

If personal data is also processed in this context, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the efficient organization and documentation of our business transactions in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

12.2 Cookie Consent Tool

This website uses a so-called “Cookie Consent Tool” to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The “Cookie Consent Tool” is displayed to users when they access the website in the form of an interactive user interface, on which consent to certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be given by ticking a box. Through the use of the tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user has given the corresponding consent by ticking the box. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the respective user's device if consent has been given.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to store your cookie preferences. As a rule, no personal user data is processed in this context.

If, in individual cases, personal data (such as the IP address) is processed for the purpose of storing, assigning or logging cookie settings, this is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and therefore in the legally compliant design of our website.

Another legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. As controllers, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically non-essential cookies dependent on the respective user's consent.

Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that protects the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further information about the operator and the settings options of the Cookie Consent Tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.
